Pervasive stress can consistently overwhelm the nervous system, inhibiting physical and emotional well-being and healing. This practice offers a systematic, multistage set of relaxation techniques that help induce the state of Yoga Nidra, which is conscious deep sleep. The state of Yoga Nidra relaxes, restores and allows deep healing to take place in the entire body/ mind field. This practice helps move the nervous system from hyperarousal (fight/flight/anxiety), into a state of relaxation (rest and digest). We begin with a brief warm up followed by participants lying comfortably on their backs to follow guided relaxations. Yoga Nidra is for everyone at any level with a body/mind who wants to experience deep peace, healing and serenity.
